Federation?

Dear Devs, thank you for your hard work!

As Radar gains popularity and traction, perhaps it would be good to consider implementing federation capability, so that Radar would federate with projects like Mobilizon and the rest of the Fediverse?

This would require quite some work, admittedly. But the benefit would be that Radar would join a large decentralized community. Immediately all ~4mln fedi users would be able to interact with anyone using Radar, following and joining Radar events from their Mastodon, Pleroma, etc., accounts.

This would help with the Network Effect, weaponized by the huge mainstream walled-gardens to keep users locked-in there. Joining the Fediverse would make it possible to cooperate with other FLOSS event organization sites, instead of forcing users to choose between them (which makes switching from walled gardens that more difficult).
