Make Mastodon library unnecessary while debugging

Jessica L. Hacker requested to merge debug into master

I don't know if this will work when actually trying to post, but it works when using the --debug flag. Without this change it is necessary to install the Mastodon library, which is pointless if we aren't posting statuses.
