gpg_fetch_userid function hides all gpg output
currently, the gpg_fetch_userid function redirects all gpg output to /dev/null, including both stdin and stderr, which can obscure why a gpg search fails. I recommend we don't redirect stderr to /dev/null, so that the gpg keyserver search log output remains visible, even though it may pollute the log a bit.
