[feature request] revert wiki to previous version
It would be useful to be able to easily revert a wiki back to a previous version OR to access its greencloth code easily.
Use Case:
- A user in one of my groups has trouble editing and every time they edit a wiki they somehow destroy all the formatting of the page (including links) in the process.
- In order to restore the formatting, I either need to go through and add it back manually, or find the previous wiki version, copy and paste the underlying HTML using the Browser Inspector, then try to use pandoc to convert this to something like greencloth (textile seems to be the closest).
- Obviously we need to work out what this user's issue is, but it would also be useful to be able to quickly and easily revert to a previous version in a way that preserves all formatting.
Thoughts: Reverting to a previous version should probably (in practice) mean a new version is added to the version history which is a clone of a previous version, rather than destroying all intermediate versions.
EG: If the page is on version 10, and I 'revert' to version 7, in practice what should probably happen is that a new version 11 should be created which has identical greencloth code to version 7 - rather than versions 10, 9 and 8 all being deleted and lost.
Another option is for the version browsing feature to allow access to the underlying greencloth of each version, which could simply be copied (and pasted into a new edit) if someone wished to revert. This may be simpler to implement but would be almost as convenient to use.
