dup handler creates destination file:// using all the space of /
Hello everyone. My system is a debian stable with backupninja 0.9.8.1-1 but I didn't find the problem fixed in later version either. I have a backupdirectory in /media/backup that is automatically created by udev when my usb-backup-hdd is plugged in. A .dup config uses this directory as the desturl entry to save my work from the university. The / partition is only 2 GB with separate partitions for /usr, /var etc. The problem is the following:
-There is no /media/backup if the hdd isn't plugged in. -backupninja runs the .dup at the specified time -the dup-handler creates the folder /media/backup -it does the backup as allways -since / is only 2 GB all the space is used up by the backup
After same reading of the dup-handler I wrote some lines that check the desturl for file:// and that it really is a directory/exists.
I made a patch witch "diff -cB dup.old dup > dup.patch" and attached it to this issue. Maybe someone needs this too or you can use it for the official version in the repository.
Sincerely, Ulrich
