Postgres backups empty when not compressed
If you backup Postgres using the tar or custom options and do not select to compress the backups then the resulting backup files are empty (zero bytes).
The command used by Backupninja to make the uncompressed backup is:
su - postgres -s /bin/bash -c "/usr/bin/pg_dump --format=tar postgres | > '/var/backups/postgres/postgres.pg_dump'"
The problem occurs because the '|' pipe symbol is left in the command before the '>' redirect symbol. For the compressed backup, a gzip command is inserted between the '|' and the '>'.
