connection status only changes when window visible

since the last UI overhaul, RiseupVPN is much harder to use.

the connection status will only change if the window is visible. i use multiple workspaces so if i (dis)connect via the system tray, it is permanently yellow/connecting until i switch to the workspace where the riseup vpn is located.

if the window is minimized, i have to make it visible.

this makes it seem like the vpn is struggling to work, but as soon as visible it promptly (dis)connects.

Running on debian stable, RiseupVpn 0.24.8, debian package from stable backports.
