Adopting some kind of common coding standard?
It seems as of now files are following different coding standards depending about who edited them.

I've discovered php-codesniffer (available in Debian) lately and integrated it in my editor (vim with syntastic plugin) to lint the code I'm writing. It's very helpful to have automatic code indentation and code style coherence as well as hints for basic code writing good practices that have been adopted by php developers. So far I've used the wordpress coding standard ruleset (minus the doc rules).
Do you think adopting a common way of editing makes sense?
If so what about indentation, which one should we use? Tabs seems the most common in PHP standards.
And would you consider using php-codesniffer to help us choose and apply a standard? Or would that be too cumbersome to use in your editing flow (I don't know what editor you're using and if php-codesniffer can be easily integrated in it)?
