Finalmente, me gustaría señalar el impacto político de estas constelaciones divergentes, y preguntar hasta que punto y en que maneras contribuyen a apoyar prácticas post-capitalistas, movimientos y subjetividades. Los hacklabs dieron una ventaga tecnológica a los movimientos políticos de base, siendo pioneras en el acceso a las tecnologías de la información y comunicación y soluciones inovativas en una era donde el acceso no estaba disponible a la mayoría de las personas como un servicio para el consumo. En el lado negativo, esas iniciaticas a menudo quedan estancadas en lo que podría llamarse un "ghetto activista" o un "underground", lo que significa que inclusive el proyecto de la Burnstation descripto anteriormente era accesible solamente a un grupo social limitado. A traves de un proceso que Granzfurthner y Schneider describen como co-optasión capitalista de la resistencia fertil inherente a esas escenas ([2009]), los hackerspaces se las arreglaron para ir más alla de estos limites históricos y forjaron connecioens importantes. Esto último, continúa teniendo un efecto duradero a traves de los artefactos tecnológicos - ambos abstractos y físicos - que ellos crean, como también la innovación y mas importantemente la educación que practican. El caso de las impresoras 3D, que según Jakob Rigi puede revolucionar los procesos de producción y crear las condiciones para una sociedad basada en
la artesanía mas que en fábricas, es solamente uno de los posibles casos ([2011]). Más aun, gracias a sus dinámicas mas abiertas, los hackerspaces pueden adoptar colaboración entre un amplio rango de actores sociales. Para la cultura hacker que ha logrado en los últimos años catapultarse a sí misma a la primera plana de los diarios internacionales, es de extremadamente significativo haber adquirido una red global de espacios reales de talleres que proveen infraestructura. En la atmósfera política actual, dominada por una serie de crisis, esta escena muestra vitalidad y dirección. Sin embargo, como el comando de superusuario dice, "Con gran poder, viene gran responsabilidad".
