this is a workaround for riseup_vpn#28

Don't trust that the status will be reported by openvpn/bitmaskd
correctly. Let's do polling every 5 seconds.

Let's change the systray state as soon as the user clicks on it, instead
of waiting for openvpn to notify the status change.
