Issues with threading
We noticed the threading on schleuder3's lists is broken, and looking at it we pinpointed two issues:
-
The first reply broadcasted by schleuder maintains the original message-id (though we've seen this on 1 of 3 threads analyzed, the rest get their message-id replaced)
-
Every email sent get its original message-id discarded and replaced by another one apparently generated by schleuder, in the form
<random_string@hostname.mail>
-
But replies get their in-reply-to headers replaced by
random_string@hostname.mail
, which is not the same as<random_string@hostname.mail>
.
So, for threading to work correctly, at least the <>
delimiters need to be put correctly on in-reply-to headers :)
