issues subscribing & modifying users
I go into some of the issues here, but I am having numerous issues trying to subscribe and/or modify users to a list using the documentation provided here
My attempts to subscribe users via e-mail commands following the documentation appear to succeed, but I'm clearly missing some options as their fingerprints do not show up nor do they receive email delivery of messages sent to the list.
Message sent to test-request@schleuder.domain.com:
x-list-name: test@schleuder.domain.com
x-subscribe: subscriber1@domain.com 0x12345678DEADBEEF12345678DEADBEEF12345678
Response received:
subscriber1@domain.com has been subscribed with these attributes:
Fingerprint:
Admin? false
Email-delivery enabled? false
And as you can see from my note in issue 223, attempts to modify this user's subscription fail with errors saying the user is not subscribed to the list. However, the user shows up in the subscription list so I'm not sure what is going on.
I also think the documentation could be a bit clearer with respect to other options that can (and perhaps must) be included in the x-subscription (and perhaps other) command(s). The changelog for 3.2 from 3.1 says:
X-SUBSCRIBE now handles the combination of space-separated fingerprint and additional arguments (admin-flag, delivery-enabled-flag) correctly.
However, it is not clear if these must be done in order or with tags or what. I think an example showing the full command would be useful, such as:
x-subscribe: person@example.org 0x12345678DEADBEEF12345678DEADBEEF12345678 no yes
Subscribe the given address, assign it the given OpenPGP-fingerprint, do not make them an admin, do deliver message to them)
Or whatever that command is meant to look like.
