Create a monkeysphere-authenticated Dynamic DNS tool
If distributed social networks are ever to take off, we'll need to have ways to find the relevant distributed servers. Most likely, this will use some flavor of dynamic dns to keep potential clients aware of their current location on the network.
If these "freedom box" nodes are already on the monkeysphere, they should probably be able to do authenticated DDNS via the monkeysphere too.
Clint points out "the DDNS RFC":http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2136 and "PKI-based authentication for DDNS":http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2931 and (possibly tangentially related) "GSS/Krb5 authentication for DDNS":http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3645 and "shared secret DDNS updates":http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2845 . It would be good to figure out what we'd need to do to handle authenticated DDNS via the monkeysphere.
