ship test suite with running program

I would like users to be able to run the test suite directly, say with monkeysign --test.

This would also allow me to more easily test the program before release - right now i just call the program without arguments, which tests only the usage (for CLI) and a small part of the GUI.

This would be fairly simple to accomplish: add the test suite as one of the shipped modules, a small argument and bam, it's done.
