[splash] add waitlist notification to how-to guide
To provide a more stable helpline for our admins, we moved BOOSTIT to a separate server. In order to support that change, we need to create a new signup channel that lives on the same server as all of the other channels, and alter notifications/invites accordingly.
CHANNEL +11112223333,+12223334444
to +1-415-555-1234`Welcome! You were just made an admin of this Signalboost channel by ${addingAdmin}.
1. Add this phone number (${channelPhoneNumber}) to your contacts.
2. Send HELP to see what commands you can use.
3. Send INFO to see how many admins and subscribers are on this channel.
4. Check out the following resources:
- https://signalboost.info/privacy/
5. Write into the Signalboost announcements and helpline: +1-947-800-5717
p.s. It costs us ~$3/month to run each channel. Since we make this software for liberation, not profit, we rely on the material support of our community to keep the project afloat. If you can afford to, please consider making a donation here: https://signalboost.info/donate 💸`
except for the signup number change, sad path should remain the same as per #379

[splash] add Matrix community room to splash about page
@aguestuser all great points, esp re: consent (https://www.consentfultech.io/ came to mind as a good resource here). as you noted, my comment was mostly motivated by reducing friction for someone like "bianca," who wants to use invites to grow her channel, or "zeya", who wants to use invites on a vouched channel where her subscribers' native language is not yet supported.
if we're to look towards signal groups, signal does ask you beforehand if you want to join, and i think that's a good thing! i do wish we had a GUI at our disposal to have more knobs to turn on the usability/friction front to make it easier for admins to build their channels (for the time being, this points to the other cards we have re: improving inviting!)
hiiii @aguestuser I had a thought related to this card: what if we flipped the logic of making invites so that invitees were automagically added as subscribers to a channel, but had the option to 'GOODBYE' or 'STOP'?
why?
