Remove orphaned metadata

Remove unmatching metadata used by the rsync handler. Currently, there's no check whether a metadata file (say metadata/daily.3) has a correspondent backup increment.
Both short and long increment formats are affected but this issue does not have any effect in the rotation procedure.
