Responsiveness to different events
20:00 <@elijh> parmegv: if i run the 'autostarts' app from f-droid, bitmask doesn't appear to be registered for 'during startup' or 'after startup'
20:00 <@elijh> actually, bitmask doesn't appear to be registered for any system events i can see
20:00 <@elijh> i would have expected 'connectivity changed' and 'airplane mode changed'
20:00 <@parmegv> from fdroid?
20:01 <@parmegv> do you have an fdroid repository for yourself?
20:01 <@elijh> the 'autostarts' app i am using is a GPL one. i think it costs money in the play store, but is free via f-droid
20:01 <@parmegv> aaah
20:01 <@parmegv> yes yes, sorry
20:01 <@parmegv> I know that app
20:02 <@parmegv> I used it before I switched to cyanogenmod
20:02 <@elijh> also 'timezone changed' would be a good event to listen on
20:02 <@parmegv> the only permission I have introduced RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
20:02 <@elijh> and 'wi-fi state changed'
20:03 <@parmegv> yes, event support would be great, you're right
20:03 <@elijh> it may be that the vpn framework in android handles the network connectivity changed events for you
20:03 <@elijh> although it does not always seem to do an appropriate job
20:04 <@parmegv> interesting, which cases have you identified?
20:04 <@elijh> unfortunately, this 'autostarts' app doesn't let me see the programming constant for the events
