RiseupVPN version Debian-0.19.11
Most times it doesn't make VPN connection at first and doesn't select the gateway location properly only after another tryout/s, i noticed that on the Menu i also get the gateway's names triplicated or duplicated, i can see by IP that there are different "Gateway Locations" but the thing is that on that list it says "Paris, Paris, Paris", "Amsterdam, Amsterdam" or other and the "User" on the GUI Menu cannot distinguish them at start what is being selected on what Gateway, a name like "Paris-Something" should be there to identify the Gateway, or if preferred like Paris-IPAddress, in my case i would prefer to see there an IP Address in a format like Paris-X.X.X.X since when i connect i can also check the IP of the Gateway as well, independently something should be there to not confuse users and distinguish the Gateway Locations.
Another error i noticed on the Menu is that sometimes(happens occasionally only) when i also issue "riseup-vpn -obfs4 -select-gateway" on the Menu part where all gateway names exist bellow "Route Traffic Through-> to the -> Help" it collapses the Menu Window and i have UP/Down Arrows but the Menu Window is so closed i can barely see any name inside the drop-down-list or scroll to exit.
If possible would be nice to check the code.
I would also like to add the idea that on that Menu be there a "report bug" feature on the list in this case with a link to https://0xacab.org/ if that makes any sense.
Would be nice if some more users could give an input on this to see if this is not just my case.
If any more info needed i can providehttps://0xacab.org/leap/bitmask-dev/-/issues/9396interfaceerror-error-binding-parameter-6-probably-unsupported-type2020-06-02T07:55:10ZRahulinterfaceerror-error-binding-parameter-6-probably-unsupported-type[dbinf.py](/uploads/ff5c9759de2cb70660be82b5d4ad747e/dbinf.py)

Hola.
No JSON object could be decoded».
Saludos.

*Hello. This is my first message on a website of this kind, so first of all I would like to expose something:
As it is usual to search for a problem on Google, appear messages from websites like this, even though one's language is not English, I'm going to write it in my mother tongue and below translated into English so that it may be useful to another Hispanic person who may have the same problem that I do because it is a problem for many users to seek help on the Internet and find it only in English because the speakers themselves refuse to publish bilingual messages. And why not say it, also because it's faster and more convenient to write in your native language and have DeepL automatically translate it.
I hope this doesn't break the site's rules. If so, tell me and next time I will only publish the message in English.
The desktop application does not work for creating accounts. The process I follow is as follows:
1. Download the package from https://dl.bitmask.net/client/linux/stable/Bitmask-linux64-latest.tar.gz
2. Extraction in a folder on my hard disk.
3. Execution of file Folder/bitmask-0.10.2/bitmask
4. Choosing a provider, riseup or demo.bitmask, is the same with both happens the same.
5. Choosing an alias and a password
6. Click "Next" and see how the same form of alias and password appears but with a red rectangle on the box of the user name that says "No JSON object could be decoded".
And you can't create an account or use Bitmask.
I think I'm doing nothing wrong, but if so, please tell me, and if as I believe, is a program failure, and need some other information, I will try to give you all the information you know get.

I use debian stretch 9.9 with xfce 4.12 both on latest with all updates.
Bitmask Desktop Client, Version 0.10.7+1.gd9848f4b.dirty
Bitmask on it's menus sometimes i can't get the buttons to work like the "cancel" one, and + and - on adding providers on both +- interface Window, i especially have more quirks on riseup.net provider, sometimes too i get an error that it could not get "The Server did not send the Salt Parameter" i also got a double entry on the riseup provider after adding it, when i add and remove providers i find it very slow on doing that operation i don't know if it is normal.
I think this client needs a review on it's code and i do believe it can be simplified even more on design just to have a list of providers with a gateway selection option and a user login and pass. Since i find it buggy on use i think the shutdown button should always be present on interface, another thing i don't see on taskbar is Bitmask icon when i close the window and it gives the minimize warning. I hope that all can be fixed.
On a terminal once i got the error running the command "bitmaskctl vpn list":
ERROR: [<twisted.python.failure.Failure OpenSSL.SSL.Error: [('SSL routines', 'tls_process_server_certificate', 'certificate verify failed')]>]

in my lineageos-device i use the bitmask app as my vpn-tool. for sending e-mails i use the app k-9 mail. it works really fine with one exception:
bitmask prevents k-9 mail sending e-mails with my posteo-account. posteo is an german mail-provider which is focused on security and privacy.
everytime i try to send an e-mail from my posreo-account, it says:
> Mails could not be sent (my translation from the german notice). SocketTimeoutExeption: failed to connect to posteo.de/2a..
receiving mails is no problem.
with my other account (not posteo) it works without any problems.
after several mails with the posteo-support they advised me to ask here in the forum if the bitmask app blocks the relevant ports:
ssl/tls, port 465 or starttls, port 587
it does not matter which port i try, the note is allways:
> Could not finish installation. Can not connect with the server. (Unable to open connection to SMTP
> server.)
on my desktop computer i have no problems at all with a similar combination: bitmask, thunderbird, posteo. sending and receiving were and are never a problem.
any ideas?

I'm sorry to rewrite the same ticket as https://0xacab.org/leap/bitmask-dev/issues/9371. #9371 is marked secret and i guess lots of people miss it.
I must add in addition to #9371 that :
* i use Debian/Buster
* i installed bitmask whithin 3 ways:
1) i downloaded directly : https://dl.bitmask.net/client/linux/stable/Bitmask-linux64-latest.tar.gz
2) i used the debian way: cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bitmask.list deb http://deb.leap.se/client master buster
3) i used the snap way provided by riseup : https://riseup.net/fr/vpn/betatest/linux
Here is some infos and logs:
