Cannot install Bitmask on Linux Mint 18.3
Hi, I was running Bitmask on Linux Mint 18.2 for a few weeks but removed it to install a newer version. But now, I cannot install it at all.
I followed the instructions at https://bitmask.net/en/install/linux/debs which provides the code: sudo apt install leap-archive-keyring sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://deb.leap.se/client release stretch" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bitmask.list' sudo apt update && sudo apt install bitmask
I substituted "zesty" for the "stretch" as I'm running Mint 18.3 based on Ubuntu. The instructions on the page indicate I should use "zesty".
But this is what Terminal reports:
ray@Raffy ~ $ sudo apt-get install bitmask Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help resolve the situation:The following packages have unmet dependencies: bitmask : Depends: bitmask-mail but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
I hope someone here can help me figure out how to resolve this problem.
Also when I downloaded the standalone bundle, I was not able to figure out how to install it. I'm guessing it's easy for experienced users, but intermediate users like me are doubtlessly quite confused by this. Beginners will likely never figure it out. How shall I proceed to install the package?
I'll look forward to solutions! Thank you
