problem with provider/local dns
I manually killed all bitmask processes (dash 9), I forgot why. Result is that I still had in my /etc/resolv.conf:
nameserver 10.42.0.1
So far everything expected. When I now launch the bitmask client (bundle 0.3.7, ubuntu 13.10) I get in the client underneath the Login:
'Unable to connect: Problem with provider'
I see 2 possible issues:
- it tries to connect with the last used provider before the user interacted with the client in any way. One might switch locations, cross borders or be in a different situation and as such might want to change the provider it wants to connect to before any traffic is sent over the wire
- the other issue I have with this is the wording: is the problem really with the provider if my dns or resolver isn't functional? Would it make sense to change the wording to help the user find the reason?
