Upgrade Electrum to >= 2.5.x for compatibility with all Electrum servers
Currently Tails comes with Electrum wallet 1.9.8. It is a very nice app to have.
I recommend upgrading it to 2.3.x since there are significant improvements and bug fixes, including important security fixes. The policy in Debian stable is not to include new version of packages, I know, but regarding Electrum this should not apply. The current version used in Tails is old, there was a change in Bitcoin’s blockchain (switched to v3 blocks) which 2.3.x knows about. The electrum client <-> electrum server communication is also improved in 2.3.x
Feature Branch: bugfix/9713-electrum-2.5
