Consider replacing Florence with GNOME's own on-screen keyboard
Florence is badly integrated into GNOME Shell. Some tricks can probably save us (see notes about it on the parent ticket) for the time being, but on the long run, using the virtual keyboard shipped by default in GNOME could be the best solution. Let’s evaluate it.
- Install the last Tails release.
- Boot from this ISO on bare metal (some virtualization environment make it hard to display Caribou)
- Start caribou : Accessibility menu -> Screen keyboard
- Try it out and report back
