Clone persistent folder

Would it be possible to add the option to clone the persistent folder when doing a clone/install? Probably defaulted to off, for security reasons. It would greatly increase the ease of pre-upgrade backups.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
