Installer status still says "Unable to find any USB drive" after plugging in a suitable drive

How to reproduce:

1. Start Tails Installer without any suitable target drive plugged in => the device list is empty, and the status reads “Unable to find any USB drive”
2. Plug in a suitable target drive => it appears in the device list, but the status isn’t changed.
